AT&T stinks

I have spent far too much time talking to the "tech" guy at AT&T because our internet service is not working properly. Do you know how frustrating it is when you can't get on the internet? It feels like you're cut off from the world! How do you even look for other providers when you can't google it? I resorted to the 2006 phone book which was no help at all....

So we're looking for a new hook up. In an effort to never have to talk to a tech guy again (haha) I need your help. Who is your provider and how do you like them? Also could you include how much it costs, we currently pay $19.95 for this frustration. While we're at it we might switch our answering service from AT&T - who do you use and how much is it and do you like it? Please leave a response especially if you live in CA. I'm learning that you get many more comments when you offer a drawing and a prize but that will have to wait for another time when there's not a wedding etc. in the near future.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Hi Lanette, unfortunately we also have AT&T we have the package deal so I am not sure about all the separate costs. So far we have been lucky. I was having some problems the other day and just unhooked the modem and waiting and then plugged it back in and voila...fixed.

I know what you mean about the give away thing. I got 25 comments on that faux grass thing. Too funny, and a little disheartening at the same time.

We have Comcast, and seriously have zero issues with it. We have had it for gosh like 3 years now maybe longer. I can think of perhaps like 3 times in that 3 years that we have had to call them. We have them for our phone & internet, but our cable is through Direct TV. Our regular bill for both phone & internet runs about $60.00 a month. I know they always have sign up specials, but that kind of stinks bc you sign up and get a certain low low price for like a year or so and then you have to be careful bc they can raise your rate after the intro period is over.... tricky dogs... :)Have you thought about trying out that Vonage or whatever it's called? The advertise they are like the cheapest thing around with the best service?? Might be worth a try...
