Oh Christmas Tree

I love my fake Christmas tree. We resisted for many years and hauled in the real thing. The set up and clean up were a pain. The trees never seemed to stand up straight then came putting on the lights after untangling them (no matter how carefully I put them away) and hoping they'd light up. Then came the time to take them off with half the dead dry needles that I had to sweep up so they wouldn't ruin the vacuum.
Then came the fake tree. The set up and take down are a dream. Just plug in the lights that never come off and voila! It doesn't look like a real tree but I love it - the limbs are strong enough to hold those heavy ornaments that used to little the carpet under the real tree. I really, really heart my fake Christmas tree.

Lanette,
Thank you for the comment on my blog. I miss you and really wish we could chat and have a cocoa too. All the things you taught about balance in your early morning classes are required in nordic skiing. We have a tree that is easy to put up and take down, and after the move, there are less ornaments to hang. We kept all the ones the children have made over the years.
We are looking forward to a real white christmas. Just after new years we are going to Banff to ski and hang out.
Love,
Michelle

Me too. It is wonderful. We did have trouble with ours this year though. One light bulb had broken and the whole center section would not light up. After fooling around with it for an hour we finally figured it out and fixed it..I should say Jim did. I was his right hand man though!
