Growing up Hopkins #15

It's hard to take a bad picture of Holly and JD but my settings made the pictures a bit yellow.

Taking a photography class was fun but there's so much to learn...

Hopefully the picture quality will improve with practice.

JD talks up a storm and Holly is grabbing for things.

As Liz says, "JD found his tongue (he likes to stick it out now) and Holly found her hands.

Breakfast club

Emily had this great idea - the week before school to help the kids get used to waking up early, have a breakfast club. Here are a few members of the happy group.

This week we're getting together at 7:45 a.m. at a different families home to enjoy breakfast together.

The kids range from 15 years down to 18 months.

What a great chance to get together and enjoy the morning. Today was our turn.

Growing up Hopkins #14

I'm taking a photography class - it seems things get worse before they get better....

But it's hard to mess up a picture with these two in it.

I'm working on exposure and color so this is a bit bright but an angel shot of Holly snoozing.

Another one of Holly - I didn't get many shots of JD this week. He'll have to be the star next week.

Fortunately for Liz, Holly is sleeping for a good chunk at night. Unfortunately it's from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.....

We got a hammock - Holly and J.D. like it but it doesn't really match their outfits - oh well...

My Girls

Twenty years ago these were my Laurels. They are so delightful and beautiful and I adore them.

They were all in town so we got to hang out just like the old days - it was like no time had passed.

There was a lot of laughing, remembering and catching up. Love you my sweet girls!!

Then in full cry - Holly is the cutest cryer - her bottom lip comes out a mile and then she lets loose - it's so cute. It's probably wrong to giggle when a baby cries but we can't help it.

JD already planning his college career.

Can't believe how time is passing so quickly. Holly and JD are more fun every day.

Growing up Hopkins #12

For some reason this weeks post didn't make it through so here's Sunday, August 2 edition.
JD is sleeping through the night and is so much fun to talk to - he coos and goos except when the video camera is on.

They're getting to be so much fun - with great expressions

Holly's cheeks are the cutest part of her though the chubby arms are a close second - oh and don't forget her adorable smile.

They're growing up so fast...

It's hard to believe that Johnny is not this little anymore.

He's a good brother.
