Expecting week by week #21

They're more than halfway there! Actually for twins 36 week is full term.

I felt the babies kick yesterday - Liz and I were heading to Joann's fabric to get a pattern for crib bumpers and Liz said they were kicking and I felt a little bump. It's so cool, even though it's been 14 years since I carried a baby it brought back the thrill of knowing there's a life (or two) - growing strong and healthy - what a miracle.

I hope the stars won't keep JD awake!

Expecting week by week #20

We got this cute little top yesterday - I love the band around the bottom. Hopefully it will fit for a few weeks.

A little "pooh" sleeper for JD. It's soft and cuddly - we can just imagine a little baby in there!

The babies were kicking Jimmy during Sacrament meeting today - I guess they're practicing - the Hopkins boys always enjoyed raising a fuss in the pews.

The happy little Hoptwins are safe and secure...

Movies

Dave and the boys love to watch movies - over and over again. Currently they're in a star wars marathon mood. I watch a movie and that's it - I don't care to watch it again. I have only so much time and I don't want to use it watching something I've already seen. I know it's weird - you say, "if you enjoy it you should see it again".

If I try to watch a movie again I catch myself thinking - I know what happens next and how it ends - why am I sitting here??
Now please excuse me because I have to go clear the cobwebs behind the TV - (how do I not see these things??)

I've got a video camera and I'm not afraid to use it!

I'm so excited! I've started video blogging over on my healthy life blog (you can click on the link on the sidebar). I'm hoping this will help my friends and WW members. Let me know what you think but only if it's good - I'm not good with constructive criticism.

Expecting week by week #19

Jim just loves these photo shoots! Cute little tiny newborn jammies.

I can just imagine Holly snuggled up in this.

liz just looks more and more adorable. She has a little cold but still smiling! Grow babies....

Guns

As you know we have 5 sons. I have always refused to let them have guns. I'm not sure why I'm so against toy guns but the fight factor was just too high with boys shooting each other and crying etc. For years it worked out really well until Johnny. He's the last boy and face it - we're tired.... It started with nerf guns - now there are lots of them. I have to endure the older boys chiding that they never got to have guns.... Johnny has been begging for an airsoft gun. I said, "No, no and no". Dave bought him one....

This is the gun and airsoft pellets...I'm not happy but Dave....

The picture speaks for itself. I think I've been overruled in the gun department.

My great new toy

Dave surprised me with the very cool flip video recorder for Christmas.

It is the smaller than an ipod and takes great videos. I'm planning to start posting videos on my healthy life blog as soon as I can figure out how to do it. Stay tuned - I'll let you know...

Expecting week by week #18

There's definately some kicking action going on so life is getting interesting.

Larry's wedding

Not the best picture of my little brother and his lovely bride but it's the best I have.

The wedding was at the beautiful Ralston mansion in Belmont and everything was perfect. The tables were amazing.

Larry loves hot wheels so you'll notice the favors included one for each guest. It was a magical night. We love Larry and Alison.
